A picturesque and contemporary hotel overlooking Fistral Beach with stunning Atlantic views and only a 1 minute walk from the beach.   The Esplanade hotel offers guests and indoor swimming pool, spa and sauna where you can relax and unwind and in the evening you can enjoy the fresh local produce in the hotel's Ocean View Restaurant followed, on two of the nights, by live music.   Newquay town centre is less than a 10 minute walk from the hotel and here you will find a selection of shops and cafe's.  

 

On this full-board* break we take you to visit the very best of Cornwall, taking in the county's capital city of Truro, the lively maritime town of Falmouth, the charming fishing port of Padstow and St Ives, the artistic heart of Cornwall, famous for its wonderful quality of light.

Mon 24th February

Leaving Devon we make our way to our hotel in Newquay stopping at Kernow Mill near Saltash on route. You will have time her to browse throught the unique shop which is built around the theme of an old mill or relax in the restaurant area serving teas and coffees along with hot and cold food. We will then continue our journey onto Cornwall arriving at out hotel later the day, where you will have time to unpack and relax before dinner is served that evening.

Tues 25th February

After a full English breakfast you have the morning free to explore the surrounding area or use the hotel facilities. After a hot buffet lunch we will then take you to Truro in the afternoon, where you will have time to take on the UK's most southerly city with it's vibrant centre for shopping, culture and impressive architecture.

Weds 26th February

Today after breakfast we make our way to St Ives for the day taking with us a packed lunch. It's the light that always strikes visitors who visit St Ives and attracted prominent artists who have left behind a rich heritage. It's the dazzling jewel in Cornwall's crown with a picturesque fishing harbour and seaside town with a maze of narrow cobbled streets, independant shops and fishermans cottages. You have the day to enjoy all it has to offer, visit the Tate St Ives, opened in 1993 and overlooking Porthmeor beach, or takea stroll to Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden which include many examples of her sculptures and are complemented by the subtropical plants that are grown here. On our return to the hotel there will be afternoon Cornish cream tea to welcome you.

Thurs 27th February

After a leisurely breakfast you have the morning free and after our hot buffet lunch we will make our way to the Maritime town of Falmouth for the rest of the afternoon. Based around a thriving harbour, Falmouth is the gateway to the beautiful Fal River which runs through an area of Natural Beauty.

Fri 28th February

Today after breakfast we will return to Devon with a stop off at Padstow on route. This charming working fishing port is surrounded by glorious sandy beaches at the head of the Camel River and is very much a foodie destination with popular eateries such as Rick Stein's Seafood restaurant.
