With its magnificent buildings, colourful banks of flowers, broad tree-lined boulevards and a diverse range of shops.  Included is a full day in York, enjoy its famous historical landmarks such as York Minster and the city walls it makes this holiday the perfect Yorkshire getaway.

We travel to our hotel in Harrogate with comfort stops on route. Arriving late afternoon.


Saturday 2 May

Today you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast as the day is your own to explore delightful Harrogate, with its magnificent buildings, colourful banks of flowers, broad tree-lined boulevards & a diverse range of shops. Attractions include the royal Pump Rooms Museum, the Mercer Art Gallery and of course, famous Betty's Tea Room.


Sunday 3 May

The Yorkshire Dales, covering 2178 square kilometres (841 square miles), is one of England's largest and most famous National Parks. Retaining its renowned beauty and landscapes, the Dales is a working environment, this full day tour introduces you to just that. The classic scenery of the National Park takes us deep into the Dales, you will travel through five of the famous Dales including Wensleydale, Swaledale and Wharfedale. The tour includes a morning stop in the small market town of Masham, home of the warring breweries, and time for lunch at the village of Reeth in Swaledale. Travelling through some of the best countryside in England we will stop to admire the views at the famous Aysgarth Falls, Bolton Castle, where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned, and the picture perfect village of Grassington.


Monday 4 May

We spend today at leisure in York. Attractions to enjoy include the magnificent York Minster, the National Railway Museum & York Castle Museum & prison.


Tuesday 5 May

After a full English breakfast we return home to South Devon.
