Goosey Fair
A traditional fair dating back to the 12th century. This annual event brings traders from all over the country, a busy day with a real 'buzz' for this market town.
Book NowGoosey fair dates back to the early 12th century, this fair was originally the Michelmas Fair held every September. It is not known where the name 'Goose' came from but was probably picked up because of Farmers bringing their Geese to market on that date.
The annual event brings in traders from all over the country and many visitors to the town on that day.
Tavistock becomes very hectic on that day and the main Plymouth road is closed so that traders can setup their stalls, so we will try to drop off as close to the fair as we can, but it may be a 10-15 minute flat walk from the coach park to the town.
