Monday 28th June

Today you have a free day to explore Dundee, a handsome city historically home of Beano and Dandy comic books! It’s also the perfect destination for art lovers, with The McManus at the heart of art and culture in the city. Don’t miss the V&A Dundee. Designed by internationally acclaimed Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, this museum opened in 2018 and it is the first Victoria and Albert Museum outside of London. Dundee was often visited by Queen Victoria during her reign because it was on her route to Balmoral Castle. Afterwards, why not continue to explore the waterfront? One of the largest active regeneration projects in the UK, this area is also home to Slessor Gardens, Dundee Urban Beach, Discovery Point, and RRS Discovery – the ship that took Scott and Shackleton to Antarctica in 1901.
