Today we take a cruise on one of the waterway's seven wonders to the Lune Aqueduct. On departing we cruise past the refurbished mills once the home of the local company of Storey Brothers famous for its plastics and wallpapers. A great view of the magnificent spire of the cathedral is captured as the boat passes underneath. Once through the city centre the boat cruises through the suburban outskirts and into the North Lancashire countryside before arriving at the 100-foot structure that is the Lune Aqueduct. Subject to weather conditions passengers may alight and take in the views from the top of the Aqueduct. A one-hour and forty-five-minute cruise. The views include the cityscape and the river Lune. On a clear day, you can see as far as North Yorkshire and the flat-topped hill of Ingleborough. The return journey includes impressive views of Lancaster Castle.
