Sunday 6th December
Leaving Devon we travel to Windsor and check in to our hotel. Enjoy a delicious afternoon tea with a selection of freshly made finger sandwiches, homemade scones with clotted cream and preserves, with a selection of seasonal cakes, Champagne sorbet and tea & coffee.
Afterwards enjoy the evening in this historic town at your own leisure.
Monday 7th December
After a full English breakfast we visit Windsor Castle. There will be plenty of time in the largest occupied castle in the world. Audio Guides are included in our visit to ensure we don't miss a thing! The Christmas display at Windsor includes the magnificent centre-piece - the 20-foot-high Nordmann Fir in St George's Hall which comes from Windsor Great Park. The tree is beautifully dressed with hundreds of iridescent glass and mirrored ornaments. In the State Dining Room, the table is laid with silver-gilt pieces from the spectacular Grand Service commissioned by George IV and still used today by The King and his guests at State Banquets. We depart Windsor mid afternoon and return home to Devon.
D=Dinner, FE=Full English Breakfast
