Job Description: Yard Hand - Kingsbridge

 

Vehicles.  Clean the vehicles to the standards set by Tally Ho! management. Work to an agreed schedule which may vary from time to time. Use appropriate materials and techniques for cleaning, which present the vehicles to a high standard. Externally wash the vehicles, clean the windows and wheels daily. Internally clean, dust and vacuum as required. Report any damage or defects which you notice to your Line Manager.

 

Fuel and check the coolant and oil levels of vehicles, a schedule will be agreed with your Line Manager.

 

Act as a Banksman. Plan and control the parking of vehicles in the yard to minimise accidents and allow good access at all times. The safety of people in the yard is paramount and you should endeavour to control the access of the public and staff accordingly.

 

Maintain the yard in a clean and safe condition. Help with painting or repairs to the property as and when required.

 

Office and workshop cleaning, as directed by your Line Manager.

 

 

Other duties. Help with school driving / courier duties as required. Collect and dispatch parts and assist with general duties.

 

 

Health & safety. Employ good risk management techniques when cleaning vehicles, moving vehicles and parking vehicles. Wear appropriate clothing and safety equipment at all times and adhere to the COSH requirements when handling cleaning materials and chemicals.

 

(Report all dangerous occurrences to Line management at the earliest opportunity.)
