Monday 2nd March
Leaving Devon we make our way through Cornwall. Our first stop of the day will be at Kernow Mills for a coffee break or light lunch and a spot of shopping. From here we carry on our journey to Newquay and check in to the Esplanade Hotel, upon arrival here we are served a delicious cream tea (cream first??). The rest of the afternoon, take some time to settle into your room and relax before dinner.
DTuesday 3rd March
This morning after breakfast we visit Truro. The city is famous for its ancient, cobbled and narrow streets with a range of stunning architecture featuring Gothic and Georgian styles. Central to the city centre is the Victorian Cathedral whilst all around it are a selection of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. We depart here and return to our hotel to enjoy a hot buffet lunch. The afternoon is yours to enjoy the hotel and surrounding area.
Wednesday 4th March
Today after breakfast, the hotel provides us with a packed lunch to take with us on our day out. We travel to Saint Erth and board a train to St Ives. Spend some free time here in this lovely seaside town.
Thursday 5th March
After a leisurely breakfast, you have another morning free to take a walk or enjoy the hotels facilities. After a hot buffet lunch, we make our way to Mevagissey for the afternoon. A traditional Cornish fishing village, where you can wander the narrow alleyways, browse gift shops and art galleries.
D, L, FEFriday 6th March
After a full English breakfast we return to Devon, stopping off at Port Eliot House and Gardens near St. Germans. The TV series Beyond Paradise was filmed on the Estate and is the location for Shipton Abbott Manor House and "Ten Mile Kitchen," Martha's café, was filmed in the Stables.
