Book NowWe start our Island hopping on the Island of Guernsey with its beautiful coastline and fascinating history from Neolithic times to its 5 year German occupation in WW2. From here well hop over to the Island of Herm, a tiny but beautiful haven with no cars, no crowds and definitely no stress. The beaches on Herm are simply breathtaking. You can walk around the whole island in a couple of hours or simply while away the time one of the pubs on the island. Our next Island hop is to Sark, where our mode of transport here will be a charming carriage ride, peeping over the pretty hedges with the gentle clip-clop of horses on country lanes. The pace of life is so laid back and relaxed. There are pretty little cottages and shops, narrow lanes to stroll along and beautiful sea views.
The Peninsula Hotel*** Vale, Guernsey
This hotel is set in five acres of grounds in a prominent sea front position, in the Vale Peninsula overlooking two sleepy fishing bays. There is a fabulous bar and comfortable lounge area, and outdoor swimming pool with sun terrace and level walks from the hotel. Ground floor rooms are available but there is a lift to the upper floors. The en-suite bedrooms have tea and coffee making facilities, telephone, hair dryer and flatscreen TV.

Coaches on mainland Britain are too large for the Channel Islands. We will be met and transfered by a local company on Guernsey.
Tuesday 2nd May
We make our way to Poole ferry terminal for the Condor ferry crossing to Guernsey, where we transfer by local coach to our hotel. The island is steeped in wartime history and the legacy is a labyrinth of fortifications plus fascinating museums that vividly recreate everyday life in the occupied islands. You will have time to relax and settle in before dinner.
DWednesday 3rd May
This morning is at leisure on Guernsey followed by an afternoon excursion to the beautiful island of Herm. There are no cars and no pressure, just an active policy of preserving the island's pristine natural environment and peacefulness. Enjoy beach walks, gift shops at the harbour plus the Mermaid Tavern. If you are feeling energetic, you can walk around the whole island in approximately two hours. The views are stunning over pristine white, sandy beaches and turquoise waters. Make sure to take your camera! Take care if walking around the island as the coastal path is undulating and narrow in places. Sensible footwear is required.
D, FEThursday 4th May
Full day excursion by boat to Sark. On arrival transfers by tractor-train are provided up the hill from the port to the village centre. This sleepy island has no cars, just bicycles and horse-drawn carts. Enjoy a relaxing carriage drive around the pretty, sleepy lanes. Your guide will tell you about the history of the island and point out local landmarks. Why not stroll down the lane to La Coupee to take in the iconic view over to Little Sark? There are some beautiful shops to browse around, pretty houses and plenty of bars and coffee shops to enjoy.
D, FEFriday 5th May
After a leisurely breakfast, we have a half day guided coach tour of the island with free time in the afternoon to enjoy the beaches around the hotel, or why not indulge in some shopping in St Peter Port?
D, FESaturday 6th May
After breakfast, enjoy some more free time in Guernsey before our coach transfer to the ferry terminal for our return crossing by Condor Ferries to Poole, where our Tally Ho Coach will be waiting to return us home to South Devon.
