Monday 29 April
Leaving Devon we travel to our hotel in Harrogate with comfort stops on route.
DTuesday 30 April
After a full English breakfast we head to RHS Harlow Carr, sitting in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, Harlow Carr offers a variety of growing landscapes, from running and still water, to woodland and wildflower meadows. Highlights include the lavish Main Borders, bursting with generous prairie-style planting, and the lush, moisture-loving plants around Streamside. Afterwards we have free time to explore Harrogate and relax before dinner in the evening.
D, FEWednesday 1 May
Today we travel to the market town of Thirsk and step inside The World of James Herriot, to explore where this famous vet, lived, worked and wrote his successful series of books including All Creatures Great & Small, based on his experiences as a young North Yorkshire Vet.
Afterwards we head to Ripon with its magnificent Cathedral before heading back to our hotel.
Thursday 2 May
This morning we travel to the market town of Masham for a guided tour of the famous Black Sheep Brewery and sample some of the products, we leave here and travel to Hawes and the Wensleydale Creamery. We go back in time with a tour of the original farmhouse dairy to learn about the cheese-making process and watch the skilled craftsmen in the cheese rooms. We travel back to our hotel through the magnificent scenery of the Yorkshire Dales.

After breakfast we leave Yorkshire and head home to Devon.
