The Swan Hotel, Wells****
The historic, award-winning 4 star Swan Hotel in Wells could not be more centrally located or have a more dramatic view. Located directly opposite Wells Cathedral, parts of the hotel date back to 1422 and, over the years, the hotel has been sympathetically refurbished and extended, offering modern amenities in a beautiful setting. Sunday 23rd Nov
Leaving Devon we start our trip with a visit to the beautiful Roman City of Bath, with plenty of time to shop or sightsee. There are so many places to visit - the Abbey, the Roman Baths and Pump Room, the Royal Crescent or Sally Lunn's for a famous Bun. Don't forget there is plenty of room in the coach for all your purchases - the shopping in Bath is wonderful.
DMonday 24th Nov
A full day at Longleat, our ticket includes a drive through the Safari Park, entrance to the decorated House and Gardens, jungle cruise, jungle kingdom. On the Safari, we travel through the Deer Park, Wolf Wood, Tiger Territory and Lion Country. We then enjoy the wonderful Festival of Light, a must-see fiesta of magnificent Chinese lanterns, beaming with colour and fascinating structures.
FETuesday 25th Nov
After a full English breakfast we have the morning to explore the lovely City of Wells (often described as the smallest City in England), with its historic centre, the magnificent cathedral, and the unique moated Bishop's Palace. We head home to South Devon in the afternoon with a comfort stop on route.
