Leaving Devon we travel to the Cathedral City of Winchester to enjoy an afternoon exploring, shopping and enjoying the Christmas market. With a captivating history and magnificent architecture, the Cathedral has been a place of worship for over 900 years. Take time to explore the winding streets and the mix of independent shops that fill themArriving at our hotel just outside Winchester in time for dinner.
DWednesday 2nd Dec
A full day at Longleat, our ticket includes a drive through the Safari Park, and Gardens, jungle cruise and maze. On the Safari, we travel through the Deer Park, Wolf Wood, Tiger Territory and Lion Country. Afterwards enjoy the wonderful Festival of Light, a must-see fiesta of magnificent Chinese lanterns, beaming with colour and fascinating structures. There are plenty of food outlets for you to purchase some dinner. Late evening we return to our hotel near Winchester.
FEThursday 3rd Dec
After a full English breakfast we travel to Salisbury. There are so many places to visit - the Cathedral, the museum, stroll along the medieval streets and soak up the history and heritage or enjoy some shopping. Salisbury has been welcoming travellers since 1227. At Salisbury Cathedral you will find the best preserved of the four original Magna Carta manuscripts dating from 1215AD. Nearby, the famous Cathedral Close houses attractions like Arundells, Mompesson House, The Rifles Military Museum and Salisbury Museum. In the afternoon we return to Devon.
