On Sunday we board the Shakespeare Express, this steam-hauled train rail trip takes on a 90 minute journey whilst enjoying a sumptuous Sunday lunch.

We leave Devon in the morning and head to our hotel in Stratford-Upon-Avon. There is so much to see and do in this beautiful historic town, we can then check into our hotel with time to relax before dinner.

After breakfast explore Stratford Upon-Avon and the countryside on the Hop on - Hop off bus which will transport you around this beautiful city, with commentary and fascinating facts about the history of Stratford and Shakespeare.

Today we enjoy Sunday Lunch aboard the Shakespeare Express As you sink into your sumptuous and plush Pullman carriage seat in opulent surroundings, your liveried staff attend to you with a drinks service and your first starter course at around 1pm. Our train runs outward via Dorridge, allowing a fantastic branch line experience followed by the thrill of fast, main line steam as we pass Solihull. Your main course is served as the train approaches Birmingham, and you have time to relax and enjoy it in your luxurious surroundings and can also pop off the train to see our locomotive at Birmingham Snow Hill station. Our return journey is via the Shakespeare Line, a branch from Tyseley to Bearley via Henley-in-Arden, with rolling fields, lakes, rivers and even a canal aqueduct visible from your window. Desserts are served as we near the journey's end, returning you to Stratford-upon-Avon at around 3pm. You can then return to enjoy a Sunday saunter through the great writer's place of birth.

Today we head home via the historic, market town of Corsham. Enjoy some free time here before, arriving home in South Devon early evening.
