Monday 28 February

Leaving Devon we make our way to Caernarfon. We will be welcomed on arrival with tea/coffee and traditional Bara Brith. With time to settle into our rooms before our evening meal is served.

Tuesday 1 March

After a full Welsh breakfast, we enjoy a scenic drive. Snowdonia National park is one of the most spectacular areas in North Wales. Our first stop for the day is Llanberis, this is often the starting point for the walk up Snowdon. Llanberis itself is a thriving, popular village with many local shops, cafes, bars & attractions. We carry on our scenic drive to the village of Betws-y-Coed. This village boasts a warm Welsh welcome all year round and is known as the gateway to Snowdonia.

Wednesday 2 March

Today we cross the Menai Straights and onto the Isle of Anglesey, stopping at Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, famous for having the longest place name in an English-speaking country. Enjoy some time in Beaumaris, a captivating seaside town, with its mix of medieval, Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture. A 'must' is to take a walk through the town, starting with a stroll along the seafront, taking in the pier and the views over the Menai Strait and Snowdonia then continuing through the charming streets. In the afternoon we take the short journey to the Sea Salt Museum and enjoy a guided tour to find out what makes this sea salt the world's finest seasoning.

Thursday 3 March

Enjoy a hearty breakfast before we head out for a morning visit to Portmeirion, an enchanting Italianate style village and the location for numerous films and television shows, most famously as "The Village" in the 1960s television show The Prisoner. We return from here back to Caernarfon and you can enjoy the afternoon exploring the area near the hotel or maybe even enjoy the hotels leisure facilities.

Friday 4 March

After a farewell breakfast we make our way home to Devon.
