Today we start the day with a trip to Godshill, the quintessential English Village boasting some of the oldest buildings on the island. Dominating the village and visible for miles around, is the delightful medieval church of All Saints. Scattered beneath are the charming thatched-roofed cottages and a narrow high street, traditional tearooms, interesting small shops and a world-renowned model village. Afterwards we visit Ventnor Botanical Gardens, with a magnificent location on the Island's Channel coast, Ventnor Botanic Garden has a unique sub-tropical microclimate. Set in 22 acres, with over 6,000 species of plants, shrubs and champion trees why not follow one of the many trails to fully explore the garden? Take the Victorian Tunnel Tour out to sea or take the steps underground to the mushroom fruiting chamber. Teas, coffees, cakes and light snacks can be enjoyed in the Plantation Room Café.
